Step-By-Step Guide on How to Start Trading on Vertex Protocol

1. Setting Up Your Account
Navigate to Vertex after clicking on the “Claim Offer” in the Hot Offer Page.
Click on “Connect Wallet”.
Choose your preferred wallet, connect it and switch network.
2. Fund Your Account
Click on the “Deposit” button, which can be found throughout the app.
Select the asset you wish to deposit:
1. Press on the asset drop-down.
2. Select the asset to deposit.
3. The “Available” section tells you how much of that asset you have in your wallet.
4. Note: You will receive an error message if you do not have funds in your wallet.
Enter the amount you wish to deposit (at least 700 USDC.e).

3. Make a trade with a minimum notional value of $400
This section guides you through the process of opening either a long or short spot position for your chosen asset pair. To close the trade, simply sell if you are long or buy if you are short.
Select “Spot”. In this case, we are looking to buy wETH, but you can choose any asset you want.
Select the market (For example wETH/USDC.e).
Click on the “All Markets” drop-down in the top left (beside the Orderbook price).
Select the asset you wish to trade.
Important Note:
a. Choose whether you want to trade with leverage or not, and make sure you read the disclaimers to understand how leverage works.
b. You will find the “Leverage OFF/ON” option (OFF by default).
d. You can trade $400 without leverage (Spot), or you can use Leverage (Margin) and trade $40 with 10x leverage or $20 with 20x leverage.
Buy wETH (or any other asset). To choose, click on “Buy.”
Enter the trade size (for example, 0.1) (and price if you are doing a limit order).
Press the “Buy” Order button below.
Confirm the trade (transaction) in your wallet. Once you confirm the transaction and ensure the trade is equal to or more than $400, you will become eligible for the reward.
