CroSkull is a community-driven NFT project that brings together the power of blockchain technology with a unique dark fantasy theme. Built on the Cronos blockchain, it revolves around the mysterious Underworld, where 6,666 uniquely generated CroSkulls exist, each with distinct traits and rarity levels. These characters serve as more than profile pictures—they are the foundation of a growing ecosystem filled with staking, GameFi, and a rich lore built around exploration, monsters, dungeons, and adventures.

The first settlement in this realm is Bonesville, and it's where the journey begins. CroSkull aims to deliver real utility to NFT holders through a structured ecosystem involving seasonal adventures, staking rewards, evolutions, missions, pets, and even a functioning banking system. The project’s vision is rooted in continuous development, engaging community participation, and gamified elements that reward both dedication and strategy.

CroSkull began its journey with a highly successful NFT mint in December 2021, selling out within just 5.5 hours across whitelist and public phases. The genesis collection consists of 6,666 procedurally generated NFTs based on more than 135 traits including body, outfit, face, and accessories—ensuring uniqueness and rarity across the board. Unlike many projects that stop at visual assets, CroSkull launched with a mission to build a full-fledged decentralized universe called the Underworld.

The Underworld serves as a base for a long-term vision: a metaverse where NFTs aren’t just collectibles but act as playable avatars within the game's mechanics. CroSkull offers a straightforward way for new users to join the Underworld ecosystem:

Step 1 - Get a CroSkull NFT: Since minting has ended, you can purchase a CroSkull from Ebisu’s Bay or Minted.
Step 2 - Acquire $GRVE: This token powers most of the ecosystem’s features. You can earn it by staking, completing missions, or purchasing from liquidity pools.
Step 3 - Use the Dapp: Visit CroSkull's Dapp and connect your wallet to begin exploring the many modules like Missions, Laboratory, Bank, Merchant, and Tavern.
Step 4 - Evolve and Engage: Merge potions to create EvoSkulls or hatch seasonal pets to unlock new missions and battle functionalities.
Step 5 - Participate in Seasons: Send CroSkulls on seasonal adventures to earn daily $GRVE and boost your presence in Bonesville.
Step 6 - Stake and Grow: Use the Bank to stake $GRVE or LP tokens and earn additional rewards in $RUDE or $SLS.

CroSkull NFT FAQ

When your EvoSkull returns from a mission, it has up to a 10% chance of receiving a Malus debuff—and that chance increases with the number of missions performed in a single transaction. If afflicted with multiple debuffs like Hunger, Sadness, and Freezing, their effects stack. For example, Hunger reduces available stamina, Sadness decreases your stat power, and Freezing prevents any future missions for 24 hours. You can remove these by purchasing cures from the Merchant using $GRVE, $RUDE, or $SLS.
Owning a Founder Pet grants you a daily perk: you can claim 1 Mystery Box every 24 hours to remove Malus debuffs from Pets or EvoSkulls. This is a non-cumulative reward, so consistent activity is encouraged. You can redeem your daily box in the Merchant section of the Dapp.
The TrustScore system governs how long your Pets and EvoSkulls can accumulate passive rewards like $GRVE and $SLS. By locking $GRVE in the Tavern, users increase their TrustScore and reward duration. Users with a Soulbound Token (SBT) benefit from a 20% discount in GRVE requirements, making it more efficient to scale their passive income strategy.
The Fountain lets you convert $SLS into $SSLS with a 20% tax, adding liquidity to the GRVE/SSLS pool. You can swap up to 400 $SLS daily using the Fountain. In contrast, the Bank allows users to stake $GRVE or LP tokens to earn $RUDE or more $GRVE with dynamic ARY calculations, creating long-term DeFi-style yield mechanisms inside the CroSkull economy.
Each EvoSkull starts with 10 stamina and gains +1 per level. Stamina is used for PvP battles and missions, and regenerates every 4 hours. If hit with the Hungry Malus, your current stamina drops by 5, potentially halting missions. Managing stamina is crucial to maximize participation, stat progression, and $GRVE yield efficiency.
